Post Wheels & Wiiiide Tires

I've got a set of 15X10 Centerline Convo Pro wheels. The tires I'd like to use are M/T Pro Street 31X16.5X15, have a section width of 15.7" and tread width of 12.5". The recommended wheel width is 12 - 14". Is possible to put them on a 10" wheel?? I understand the manufacturer knows best, but I'd like to use the wheels I've just bought and get the widest tire I can under my car. The car is tubbed and clearance will not be an issue.

Thanks, Larry

They will go on the rims. They will not wear properly but that is not really a concern is it? <img src="graemlins/crash.gif" border="0" alt="[crash]" />
