I would say..When it gets SOOO tall that you can't go under an overpass..But hell..If you had big enough tires, you could just drive over it .

Those are too big. :skeptic:

Sorry, I'm not total redneck, but I hate HUGE tires. Me personally wouldn't go bigger than 35s, but 38s or 40s are ok.

When does a truck get too big...

Truthfully when a truck becomes illegal to drive on any roads...it needs to go bigger. Any big truck can be nothing but tons of fun. And as long as you don't ride anyones *** all the time who cares what they think?! Go for the tires man! :drool

Where is it that the Bigfoot's get their tires?I've always wondered this.I remember seeing a documentary with Bob Chandler and he said when he built the first Bigfoot,(I think it was a 1978 Ford F-150,but it doesn't matter),he said he got them at some place for like $2,000 a piece. Now,I'll bet that they have them special made, just for those trucks.I thought that they might be available for the general public though .

I don't know about West (By God) Virginia, but some states have front bumper height laws. Might be worth checking into....

I know that Tennessee does,as stated in my Driver's Handbook. The front bumper of a 4X4 can't be higher than 31 inches. That's not very much. But anyway...I may have to fight this one

You can never go too big. Oh yeah night train you were wondering about the tires for bigfoot. Bob Chandler bought those tires from a goodyear dealer in Miami OK. The tires are 66 inch goodyear that weigh about 450 pounds with out the wheel and about 1000 with the wheel and filled with air. We use them on grain trucks and manure trucks and such.

The original bigfoot was a 1973 f350 it ran 42x24x20 ditch witch tires then went on to have cane & rice combine/ag truck 66in tires which they still run a firestone cut tread version of. As far as the law goes ive been reading and if i run a bumperet to hold my head lights below 50in and retitle the truck at 28,500gvw pay for the apportioned plates and pass a safty inspection i can run it on the road. I just need top find some 2.5t top loaqding military axles, i dont think the dana 60-70 combo that im running will hold them for long.
