when selling a vehicle

does anyone else just hate stupid questions? I am trying to sell a 74 Ford F-100 swb pickup rolling chassis. It is a nice body just needs a motor and I put that in my ad. I get a call and the guy asks how it runs, I say its a rolling chassis like it said in my ad. I mean do people even read ads before calling. I have it listed for $500 which is what I have in it. I get emails asking how it runs and how are the tires. I'm setting here thinking what do they expect. Here is a pic of the truck

very nice truck....Well worth $500........or more.

Yeah....People suck. Half the time they call, and then don't show up.....or try and talk you down without even seeing it..........I could go on and on.............

Yes you can, as long as you bring somebody to pull you
Seriouly though if someone elseemails me about it asking if it runs I am going to email back saying yes it did. It had a 428 with aluminum heads, tunnelram 2 4's 3000 stall and 4:56 gears. My landlord and I were not getting along and he said it had to go and I couldn't sell it so he had it removed. You might be able to find it at the scrapyard. I bet that would get an interseting response. My dad told me to do that

Maybe you need a better picture of the motor in front of the truck,Tell them it ran so good the motor ''JUMPED'' right out of the truck onto the ground.

I recently sold my 90 Chevy truck. I listed it in the Dallas Morning News for $3500. I got about a half dozen calls asking what my bottom dollar figure was, I said $4000. Several hung up on me and several asked why I was asking more than what the ad said. I said without even looking at the truck for you it's $4000. If you take the time to come look at it we can deal., but not over the phone without you even coming to look at it.

Runs so good you cant even see it run!

StOOpid people shouldn't breed.

You need a Picture ad with a good shot of the hole with no power plant in it.

Lotsa luck

You can always tell who is serious, they will look at it and then say, ok what do you need and then make you a offer. Tire kickers will question you to death and then point out everything wrong and leave. If a tire kicker makes a offer which is a rare thing, it is usually a ridiculously low figure like $100 when you are asking $1000. This is even if a tire kicker bothers to show up and look at what you have for sale. I have got to the point of, if a person won't even come and look at a car they are tire kickers. I tell people now if you are serious about it, come and take a look see and determine for yourself, otherwise don't waste my time asking me questions on the phone. One other thing to tell people who call on a ad is, when somebody asks about what you have for sale, tell them that you decided to keep it. Then tell them that nobody is serious about buying what you have for sell. If a person is serious they will try talking you into selling it and then ask you if they can have a look see.
