When to wax Urethane

I painted my hood about 2 weeks ago, sanded and buffed 1 week ago. Question is, do I wax now or wait about a month like the old days?
Thanks,
Perry

It depends a lot on the clear used and how it was applied.
Clear that would be locked down in 2 weeks can be delayed a month with excess coats or improper flashing or too small a fluid tip or to large a fluid tip.

The longer you wait the better. Applying wax to a solvent trapped or an uncured finish can cause the following problems.
Die-back or minor to major bubbling.

If you use a canuba base wax it will allow the paint to breath but I still would not chance it until the car has been in the sun for a month.

Barry, while you mentioned it, what is die-back? Shrinking?

What Barry is referring to in the word "die back" is the gradual loss of gloss from your clear
