Look bro, nowhere in my original post (which is an old one by the way) did I make fun of "tuners", if you know me or seen me post in ricer/tuner/import threads you'll know that I fully support and respect tuners, but have no respect for ricers. Import Tuners are hot rods, just rodded on a different platform. The first hot rods were model T's and A's built for speed, no fenders and a built motor (as good as "built" could be back then). In my opinion thats all "tuners" do. The fastest imports around here dont wear aftermarket rims at all, they wear the stock steel wheels and have the stock paint job etc. They put their money where it counted, THE ENGINE.

just poking fun no harm intended plus I completely agree with your opinion of tuning. I started out building junkyard GMs with big blocks, those parts got hard to find and the yards were full of civics. if you look close my wheels are ICW, low budget wearing wynstars high quality low budget. I still like the clean stock look, just like the rusty old dinos I used to ride.

I also hate seeing a caprice on dubs, these guys definitely flunked physics.

I saw a 80s caprice in burgandy paint with hot pink racing stripes, fender lettering reading simply 24"

It was lifted about 4 tennis balls above stock and I feel bad for it.

A guy at cruise night has a white caprice, another 80s one, think Ghetto Jet's whitey but in 4door form. Add fresh paint, black tinted windows, and 1970s Chevy Super Sport wheels painted black (see link click here )

It's a really sharp car and he plans on getting the engine built up a bit over the winter.
