When you want to complain about the price of hot rod parts, think of this.

The license plate bracket is $194 yes, this simple piece of plastic is $194. It's from a 2008 Mercedes, typically they run about $15-25. The little rectangular piece is basically a "nut" for the sheet metal screws that hold the license plate bracket to the bumper. There are four of them and they are $13.50 each.

Just think about that a while.

Brian

Yet another reason to LEASE a Merc and turn it back in after 3 years - assuming you are gonzo enough to want one in the first place!

I can't imagine how much money I would have to be making to justify one of those cars, but it is a HECK of a lot more than I make. And the sad thing is, I KNOW I make as much as many people who drive them!

Oh my gosh this is really a weird price for such a small plastic thingie! This is really unbelievable for me! But well.. it must have some sense... in a way...but I'm not sure yet.
13.50 would be totally ok! This is a good deal! If the prices just would be always the same.

Its all the extra fingers in the pie that run the price up,, just because it has that Mercedes name that started it off,, most likely several other makes of vehicles have the same bracket for 3-4 bucks, and came out of the same door in china that these did,,,
