Anyone know where I can pick up one of these labels?

HERE'S a list of parts books for various Consew machines, I don't see a 225 but you might find your tag listed somewhere as a part. You apparently need to create an account and log in, in order to see the books.

This is a list of employees you can pester to get one.

THIS is a PDF of parts for the 225, but I don't see that tag. Oh well.

Why don't you just repaint the red background on the one you have? It looks like that's all it needs. My first call would be to a sewing machine mechanic to see if he had a junk head he could cannibalize one off of. These machines are made in Japan and China by Seiko, and it's doubtful they would have a name plate for a 40 year old sewing machine.

The new label is on the right. It is very thin, is riveted on instead of screwed on, and is a different color than the old ones.

Mask off the letters and then spray it?

You got it. Clean off as much of the old red as you can first, and then mask off the white and spray it.

I looked at all of those web sites and parts manuals. None have the label listed that I need. I'm just gonna paint it.
