where can i get parts for a 48 plymouth?

I have a 1948 plymouth special deluxe and i can not find rear brake shoes anywhere, also i am looking for sill plates, the sheetmetal inserts for the front and rear bumpers, a hood ornament, and a trunk handle/ assembly. i'm not looking for show quality parts, i'm just rat rodding it.

You may try this place, have not bought from him as I am going in a different direction but he has a fairly large catalog.

You may also find relining parts at ebay, but beware as all the old stock replacement linings are more than likely asbestos. Also be careful cleaning up your old brake drum and backing plates for the same reason.

Buy a current copy of Hemmings Motor News. Check the Plymouth listings.
George Taylor in Pasadena TX sells these parts. Andy Bernbaum in MAssachusetts and Gary Roberts (Roberts Motor Parts) in Massachusetts are other vendors.
Unless reproductions are now available, decent sill plates are very hard to find. They do make the sill plate retainers grommets now though. I've had several of these cars over the years and never had problems finding and getting parts.
