Where to Find a GM 12 Bolt Rear Axle

I'm looking for a 12 bolt axle for a '68 Impala, and not having much luck. Any advice on where to look? Do places like Currie's, Strange, or Moser build complete axles for specific applications? Any favorite junkyards? Thanks.

Yes they do...

Currie and Mosers can both build a specific axle for just about any application. Both do inhouse mods for narrowed housings, stock or aftermarket axleshafts, gearsets, limited slips, etc. Just let them know what you want.

i've been looking also. they run about $2400 I guess for a new ready to install turnkey setup - depending on what brakes you want and stuff like that. Plenty of places that offer them. Look in the back of High Performance Chevy magazine ( i have a subscription to it). there are lots of places in the back of the magazine - advertisers section that offer them. but like I said, be ready to cough up at least $2000, plus shipping, tax, etc.
