where to get a plate to cover the air con.hole.

ok guys here we go,I own a 69 firebird400 with air and Im going to pull the engine this winter and I want to take out the air con. unit in the firewall,my question is where can I get a plate to cover the hole In the firewall when I get that big *** thing out of there,and p.s.none of the hoses are conn.nor is the compresser there,someone tryed to get inside the box to fix somthing at one time and made a mess out of it.,thats why I want to get rid of it. thanks.!

Are you going to put a heater in? If not, just make a plate that will weld in or one that will bolt in. If you install a heater , go to the salvage yard and cut one out of a non air car and weld it in.

Either what Troy said or find your nearest metal fabricators and get a piece of stainless steel that you can polish up later.
