Where's the Last Supper Thread??

I couldn't find OLNOLAN'S Thread so I guess I'll post this new one !

Hey Mikey, you're the one responsible for this so whatcha think?

I fixed the Corned Beef and Cabbage in the Crock Pot,
I put the meat and spices on at 2am and then I put the Cabbage in
the last hour of cooking time !

Also heated up some of the Wiffy's leftover Lima Beans to go with it.
I wonder what she meant by sleeping in separate bedrooms ???

I love the corned beef and cabage. I went out last night to my favorite restaurant last night for it. I have never gone there on St Patricks day for one reason or another but was not disappointed. The wait was over an hour and as they say "hunger is the best seasoning" so by the time I got it I could have eaten it raw. But being I ate every single speck even after getting full I guess it was darn good!

I could eat this stuff once a week, probably not a good idea to stay healthy, it's got to have the butter laid on the taters and cabbage. We'll be doing ours Sunday. Tossing a few carrots in ours. Hard to beat!

I may throw some small "new taters" in the next time but I'm not crazy about the sweetness that Carrots bring to a dish - - - I'm still eating leftovers - - - - "burp"

My favorite meal - and my wife did a great job as usual on the corned beef and cabbage along with some Irish soda bread. The only thing missing - and it's my fault - was a foamy Guinness (or Harp or Murphy's) . I don't drink much, but a glass or a pint will always serve to help the tastes of the boiled dinner . I did have a wee dram of Uisce beatha - the water of life - though

First time I've heard the name "Harp Beer" in many a year. My nickname used to be Harp (blues harmonica) and I had me several of those brews one time in a Bennigan's in Houston !

Ah yes - Houston - Bennigans. There was one near the Sheraton that I used to frequent when I went there on business.

Harp is what I would drink after a couple of Guinness, back in the day...............
