Whew. Looks like I was being too anal with the filler..

Kicking my *** trying to get it PERFECT on strange curvy areas.. but I shot a tiny bit of epoxy on those areas today (I kind of like that mini gun that comes in that harbor freight two gun kit! haha) and you can't notice such little things.. That's a load off my mind! Must have been the multi-colour panels that were making me think my hand was feeling something that wasn't really there?

That's a hard lesson learned. While I was in college, my auto-body instructor had a custom VW Beelte, and he told us about all the time he spent trying to get the round fenders to 'feel' perfect, and gave up after countless hours. After he blocked and sprayed them, they came out perfect, even though they still didn't 'feel' perfect.
BTW, my instructor was Cory Batt, a DuPont Top Gun winner, so he was pretty decent to say the least.

Yeah, I had been filling, sanding filling, etc.. For a LONG time now.. So I just decided to shoot a little bit. There are a couple areas (I just did small areas of the fender) that I can blatently see need filler (But I knew that was going to happen), but overall, it's a load off my mind!

I'll avoid the obvious jokes and say I am noticing something similar(but more the opposite) on my caddy even though the body work is not that far along. I have been sanding for awhile now trying to get some areas cleaner. And they feel smoother than they look. I have a long way to go to get it ready for paint.

Learning when to quit and see how it looks is a hard thing to do!! I couldn't work in a production shop because of never learning this process, tried it for a year just out of school and it didn;t work. I put about 30 hrs in a set of roof pillars on a 69 nova that had been re-topped years ago from a roll-over! I think sometimes we "Feel" things that aren't there for the eye to see.
