Whitewall cleaner safe for aluminum wheels ??

Has anyone any suggestions for a good whitewall cleaner that will not ruin the shine on my polished aluminum wheels? I have seen Westley's fog over the finish on aluminum. Is there anything out there that works without effecting the wheel's finish ? Elbow grease just doesn't seem to get it done.
