I've been finding my self watching the Powerblock TV stuff again since they are all available streaming online with minimal commercials. Very little drama and I've noticed a lot more DIY stuff for budget minded folks that have to penny pinch on their rides (like me).

I stay far away from "news", "reality tv", and "drama" shows. Actually I don't really watch any tv.

I always have preferred to know about the ugly realities of life. I also am amazed at the mindless crap that makes it onto the news. We are living in a time that our our individual security is being stripped away, and we have to listen to what a bunch of Hollywood zombies are doing to wreck their lives? I don't even care about anything they do! They are far more disfunctional then even WE are!

Having said this, I have had to limit my exposure to 24-7 news coverage, to protect my own positive attitude. I still check it out daily to see what I may personally need to understand, and possibily to deal with, in the not-too-distant future. Tough times for freedom loving Americans. }:-(

You know what, I know nothing about them, I haven't a clue what so ever as to if it is a family, a business name, I haven't a single clue. That is how little I care and how we can skip the crap we don't need to know or care to know. I have seen the name with some beautiful woman, that is all I know or care to know. We do still have the power to tune that crap out, the problem is, it is getting harder and harder to do so.

To add to to what your saying...I get so frustrated when your watching a program or "news documentary"...You get the preamble and then they go into something like "and coming up next", they give you a few bits of information on what's coming up next, break into 4 or 5 minutes of commercial and then come back and go over the same footage you just saw for 3 or 4 minutes with 1 minute of new information before they break for another commercial. A 1 hour program giving the viewer 15 minutes of information...but what the hell if it wasn't for all the commercials I would have never saved 15% on my insurance when I switched to "Gieco"...LOL...(a little more BS for us to swallow).

But oh yes they are dying. The paper I delivered as a kid, 77 papers a day, it is going away sooner than I care to think about it. They have stopped delivery on Monday's and one of the papers the company owns has stopped printing it on Mondays as well. They are going away and it's a damn shame.

My gripe is the misuse of the term "I could care less", it should be "I couldn't care less". If you "could care less" then why would you not care less? If you couldn't care less well then you couldn't care less. Trivial I know but I hear it misused all the time.

I actually like to tune in to the BBC channel for news. They talk about relevent issues here and around the world... they don't tell me how I should feel about the issues... and they don't cover the mindless crap that is going on at the edges of U.S. society.
