More and more crap comes up as news these days that I could care less about and has no value at all.

Beyoncé lip sincs the national anthem.....Who cares?
Lance Armstrong admits to doping.....who cares?

and on and on........list yours

Mostly it has to do with what celeb's have to say, such as this:

"Kim Kardashian is fighting back against her later father’s widow, who told In Touch magazine she has proof that Kim’s mom, Kris Jenner, used to beat her."

Or unsubstantiated garbage like this:

"Gawker writer says cold weather is 'worse than the Holocaust' "

Who really cares, or as you said in polite terms ...........

Any "enhancement" drug in a sports arena would be fraud.

There are probably a large percentage of "Titles" that rightfully belong to another due to the title holder "Doping"

Not a big sports follower at all, but what is wrong is wrong.

It seems that "Real news" would offend you.. Thats what the networks and news media push.

Mindless crap. Thats what the people want.. They don't want to be reminded of the real world problems.

The most nauseating to me now is this Manti Te'o crap - - - he's a lying bastard so don't try and make it into anything else.

I'm in the same boat as Randy and only watch our Local News in the mornings, HOWEVER, my wife thinks that she should keep me up to date on everything she sees on HLN, CNN, OWN and all the others. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

I could give a "Rats" about anything that Katie, Oprah, Nancy, Jane, Meagan or any of those $@$@#$ opinionated ^@@$(* have to say.

Now I'll admit that I'm a pretty boring SOB but it doesn't bother me at all to be that way.

The fastest way to get the TV in the livngroom turned off is to mention or show anything to do with Politicians or especially the "First Family" so I guess that's my biggest biatch.

I am with you on this that is for sure. If I want to feel better, I surround myself with things that make me feel better! If I wanted to feel like crap I would surround myself with crappy things, makes no sense to my why anyone would choose the crappy.

There are a lot of people out there that engulf themselves in the crap, they THINK they are "educating" themselves (their word, not mine) and that they NEED to know, why I ask. Why in the world do you need to know about this bad stuff, why do you need to know about some under table dealings in Washington or some other government scams, to what end? What am I going to do about some gang killing in Chicaco? How is knowing that going to help anyone? Am I going to stop it? No, am I going to help myself not be effected in some way? NO, why "educate" myself about something that I can do nothing about?

Yep, I want to surround myself with things that make me feel better, that makes sense to me.

I don't watch the news, but I watch plenty of tv, the enjoyable things, the entertaining things that my family and I can laugh with, where no one is hurt, where it makes us feel better.

My grand parents lived a long and very happy life not watching TV....:thumbup:

Plus they made it through many bad storm's without it, And never had to run from one like today....I asked them one time what they did without TV ???? They just both looked at me and said with a smile on their face.... WE JUST HAD OUR OWN FUN ... TOGETHER !!!!!:mwink:
