I am planning a cruise, and I would like to hear from any of you guys where you went, which cruise line and how you liked it. I need to get out of the briar patch for a while.

I went on a week cruise years back. It was the Sitmar cruise line. It was very fun! Several pools, tons of nightclubs, skeet shooting, theatres, shopping malls, girls, great food, girls, dolphins, girls. Did I mention girls? HG

Took a Couple of Gray Lady Cruises about 30 years ago and even got paid for it. Have not been aboard a ship since. Just a little naval humor.

Have done 3 carnival cruises,princess cruise have done all of the carribean routes I feel they are all comparable carnival little more party atmosphere, I liked the southern carribean probabably the best. Do a week cruise with some days where you don't get off the ship,nice to set back and feel like you don't have to do anything just enjoy.

I wouldnt sign up for all the tours either. There kinda shady and usually real hot! HG

For our 20th the wife and I did 3 days in the park a nd 4 days on the ship. Had a great time.
No kids. Even played some 3 on 3 hoops on a moving ship .
I hear that the booze flows a bit more freely on other lines, if thats important.

Oh , just to add... from the time we landed in Orlando, until we got back to our home airport, we did not have to touch our bags except to pack and unpack. They were always in our room waiting for us. Nice and easy!

Went last November on Carnival (Fantasy). ZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.

Went to Bahamas. Was not impressed. Would end up going to a all inclusive hotel next time. Scale of 1-10: 2 The locals will rive you up a wall with the "Braid your hair?" (to a guy with short/bald hair!) or trying to get you to buy garbage.
Staff was excellent. Food was OK. If you like to walk, you'll love it. Entertainment was front ship (Fell asleep 2x in the "Vegas" shows) - Food was rear, sleeping was mid ship.
Lost about a day in meetings. 1 to show you how to be a sardine and put on lifevest, one for whats on the boat,one for when you go off-shore, one for disembarking , one for picking your nose,etc. Then the disembark procedure makes you lose 2-3 hours.

Go all inclusive- less hassles, IMO.

I went on the 'Sea Escape' from Florida to one of the islands in the Bahamas, I think it was Port Lucaya. Anyway, the coolest part about the whole trip was shooting skeet off the back of the boat. Other than that, the fact that I was 17 and on a band trip surrounded by chaperones made it SUCK.

I did buy a really nice wooden pipe there though.

The wife and I just did Carnival Cruise lines, for our 25th (Fantasy ship) last Jan. Was the first and only time we cruised. Loved it.

we just got back from a cruise on carnival lines, Extacy,
we went to catalina then down to encinada mexico, really had a great time, nice weather, really clean ship, and people to see to your every need , and some things you don't need, can't spend cash on board, you give them a credit card or debit number and watch the money disapear, there's a charge for everything, they automatically debit you for tips, 20.00 daily for each person, drinks are real spendy, lots of alcahol flowing, lots of silicone bouncing around too, I especially enjoyed those, really a party boat,, I would go again in a heartbeat, we plan on going on another one next fall, probably to the carribean, who knows?? thats not my department,, I just go where she says we're going,,
