who has Milodon main caps?

Ive seen milodon main caps used on tv but I was wondering what other people had thought. i know they have a unique design that is suposidly stronger, do you drill the angled wholes yourself?

just looking for some feedback and if they are worth it

This is a mod we do for race motors using the Milodon or more typically the Oliver caps. It is my no means an at home machining process as what we do is mock the caps up bore the holes on the Bridgeport and align bore/hone the journals to size.

You can't just install the caps, drill and tap the holes and install the crank.

Are they worth it? On racing motors where we have to use stock blocks and are run at 7000 RPM for extended periods of time, I think so. Better than loosing a crank out the oil pan.

Depending on your buildup a much cheaper alternative may be to simply upgrade to ARP bolts. Assuming the current caps are tight and show no signs of chatter or heat.

ok the only reason i ask is that i have a 350 with a 671 goin on it and 2 bolt mains, i was goin to have it machined at a proper shop but it seems to mislead in their adds. Is there a better way of streghening my bottom end? i am scared of those 2 bolt mains under heavy load
