I cant seem to find any real conclusive on the Blue engine color in a 78 model Camaro. I have heard that in those years all engines were painted the corp GM blue , another guy said all chevy engines installed in chevy cars were painted the chevy blue and the chevy engines installed in buick, pont. and olds were corperate blue.The Chevy blue is a darker greyer medium tint and the corp. blue is a light almost baby blue.

paint it what looks best. they were painted GM Corporate blue, starting in 1977 I belive.

My '78 Malibu's 305 was the same color blue as the 231 in my '77 Buick Century.
