That was some help, but I would like some thing that tells me it's not a knock off of a bobcat, they had the decal but would someone have ID # of them?
They want some big bucks for this car, and I'm not really a GM guy, so know zip about them, other than I rebuilt a 68 GTO once.
This is a super nice car but I don't want a fake.:nono::nono:
If you can get the vin #, get in touch with the Pontiac Historical Society (PHS) and ask for the history on the car. I don't have thier phone number, but you can probably google them. You will need a credit card because there is a fee for this information. If you find out that the car was delivered to Ace Wilson's Royal Pontiac that will be a good sign. I think that I still have some old corespondence from them from the mid 60s, but I'd have to hunt for it.
There is also a little info on them at http://ultimategto.com in the text topic section.
I dont know enough about them myself to be of much help.
I do know you can buy reproduction chrome for a standard gto to clone it, so research it well.
The PHS suggestion is probably your best bet.
I second/ third the PHS documentation route. You could also try contacting Jim Wangers himself. Perhaps he could put you in touch with someone who authenticates them. you can reach him here:

I 1967 had a 66 Royal Pontiac "Bobcat"..but a 421. Was the only way to stop those pesky 396 Chevelles..and did..
First thing I did was get that plate surround and anything with Royal Pontiac OFF..
