Who will win this race?

Im just wondering, sorry if this is in the wrong part of the board, i figured it should go here. A 86 Fiero Se..with 2.8 V6, 4 speed (i can drive it pretty well), Vs my friends 82 Ta, its a carbed 305 with like 145 hp, im not sure on his gears...he also has an automatic. My fiero is rated at like 140 hp/170 lbs-ft. The fiero also wieghts lie 2500 lbs

Honestly I think you will both lose

See one thing you have not mentioned here is what gears are in each car... tires... and all the other variables... even then we can only guess.... HOw long the race is

thats true, im not sure about the Ta, but I THINK it has 3.23's my fiero has something low like 3.56 or something like that, ill get more info.

Or you could just race him because one of you could have a bagged out engine. ... Just a thought.... Cuz we ain't gunna be much help

Oh yeah and race on the track (I know from experiance)

i would expect ur fiero to win, i mean basically same hp, but maybe the firebird has 200 lbs torque, and firebird weighing maybe 3100 to 3200 pounds. power to weight is much better on ur car
