Hey guys I've got the 84 camaro Z28 H.O. and I was wondering if putting an entire fiberglass front clip on it will show a time difference in the quarter. right now everything is steel...the hood alone is 200lbs or so I just ordered a 4" cowl hood and I found the entire front end for 640 beans from a camaro supplier. would this be worth it?
Are you sure? that mighty heavy for a hood! i've never met a hood I couldnt lift with one hand (not saying they arent out there) you might want to re-check that.
just a bull**** guess lol yeah it's a little steep I wanna say more like a hundred but all that steel changed over to fiberglass I should see something right? just hope I don't wreck it LOL
Don't think you would save much weight with glass in your case. The 80s metal parts are quite thin and light. Check the difference between your fenders and a 55 Chevy for example............
Now, if you were going to cut off the whole front structure and put in a different front suspension etc, it might be different.
