Why Aren't All Books Written Like This?

The image and caption below from David Vizard's "How to Rebuild Your Small-Block Chevy" had me laughing so hard and actually reminded me of some of the more direct forum members. If only my math books had been written like this...

I've seen it done with one bolt still in place, but not all 8 of the bottoms. I can't imagine someone doing that - we have all done some dum' things in the past, but not that bad.
