The only thing we are allowed to own these days are pea shooters compared to military weapons. I think it's our nuclear arsenal that thwarts the silly notion of invading our country. The only way to defeat us is if we implode and erode which is what is happening to us as a people.

i have seen alot of weird chit the last few years.
i dont want to start a war with this but...
gay marriage-it has been illegal for i think ever and all of the sudden this is an issue??
and now that gay marriage is an issue every gay couple in the world decides that NOW is the time to get married??
just to add fuel to the fire.
i dont take a stand on this subject but i am sick of seing the protestors protesting gay marriage.
like i said this wasn't an issue 1,2,even 20 years ago why now?

There is no war on U.S. soil because every time this century, that another country has attacked, we have struck back with a devastating blow. It has deterred other forces from doing it again.
That is also why we are in Iraq. Because Bush and most Americans remember how important it is to deter future attacks.

AMEN ! llucino77, Well said. I thank god for a President who believes in God and ask for his guidance. He also does what he said he will do to protect this great country. He said from the start that this was not going to be a quickie war. He said it was a war like no other war to date. Our superior air defense is the greatest deterant to an attack by the military forces of a hostile country. We are now fighting the scum of the earth that has lowered themselves below the level of intellegence of animals and uses civilian airliners as bombs, killins thousands of inocent men, women and children. WEll that and we're completely surrounded by water. It would be a serious pain in the *** to bring enough troops to even take a city on the coast let alone a state. We have an unfair advantage!

When we attack overseas, 99% of the time we have a staging point. ONe of the only times we didn't was at D-day and we got a serious railing on that deal.
