Why won't my engine start back-up?
This has happened several times and I can't figure it out. After running at good operating temp, I will shut it down. I will turn right around and try to re-start it, I won't turn over. I don't pump the gas but it still has the "flooded" attitude. Literally takes a couple minutes for it to finally fire-up.
Timing problem? It runs great
I'm at a loss! Suggestions?

Timing is a possibility. You can advance the timing to a point that it will run great, but it won't turn over to restart. Try slowly backing off the timing to see if that works. Obviously, you'll want as much timing you can get, without detonation and the ability to restart.
Thanks for the advice. I will check it out!
"Won't turn over" means the starter isn't working..."won't fire or won't start" or "cranks but won't start" are totally different...
Is the carb getting so hot that the gas is boiling in the float bowl? Vapor lock?
