Wide Open

I recently re-registered and insured my truck (85 GMC Jimmy 305), took the doors and back cab off. I already plan on taking out the carpet and painting on some Herculiner but as far as the seats go (cloth) I'm looking for inexpensive yet comfortable ideas to weather proof them. I've thought of quite a few things whether they're practical or not they'd work.
1. Boat seats (the plastic kind with the stand.) Not very safe, fairly cheap at least for the driver and passenger seat.
2. Making my own vinyl covers using the same vinyl used on boats. Not very cheap for 2 bucket seats and one bench. ($17.99 a yard.)
3. Custom made neoprene covers. Excellent but expensive!!
4. Screw it and have moldy seats.

If anyone has a suggestion please feel free to share.

I've seen some really nice seat covers from Cabela's. Check out this link http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...ainCatcat21412

I will say this much, I like their prices a heck of a lot more than other places.
79.99 for the front seats and 79.99 for the rear bench seat.

Anyone have a suggestion for getting all the glue and crab left on the floorboards after i removed my carpeting? I've got left over fuzz and 'tar' all over the damn thing.
