Width of an original Model A rear end?
Anybody happen to know the width of an orginal Model A rear end (1931)? I am exploring various widths to use with 15 x 7 rear wheels.

I did place one end of a tape measure at the center of the driver's side rear tire and took a shot of the measurement at the center of the passenger side rear tire. It showed 56". I also measure from the end of the banjo housing to the opposite side (basically backing plate to backing plate) and the measurement was approximately 52". Left click on the pics for a larger view. The one pic is blurry but doable I hope.
