wife cant drive so i bought her a juki

I been trying to teach my wife to drive my car. OMG. I love her dearly but she has no concept of turning the steering wheel to the direction you want the car to go , or looking behind you when you back up . After the 5 driving expirences i think it be best for the rest of America, if she stayed in the passanger seat never ,ever, to get behind the wheel, unless to vacuum the interior of coarse I know she wants to learn how to drive a car, she wants to go to work and earn her own money, but my god, no So last sunday evening, after telling me how much she misses her sewing machine, it hit me , i need my upholstery done on my 70 camaro and 67 barracuda , and 79 f-150, so bought her a juki lu-563. I also have time off work now , ( construction seasonal lay-off ) i enrolled her in a alterations coarse tailoring 10 week program. I tried to find a upholstery coarse but the local college in my county is not offering that coarse . The juki has a clutch motor, no servo, it will be interesting to see what she can do with that . She has said that she started sewing when she was three years old and her mother sews dresses for a living. She is a bound and determine little thing, and i think this will be great seeing what she can do with an industrial sewing machine. I hope everyone is happy with my decision to keep the roads alittle safer.

Have you thought of a moped? Being from the Philippines, she may be more acquainted with them.

WOW, Even before I read your second post, and even before I finished it, I was wondering if she was of Aisian decent. Why not put her in a driving school? At least if it doesn't work out it won't be your car that get's damaged!

Cyrstalbluevib - If you don't mind my asking what did you have to give for your Juki 563. I am looking at purchasing a used one and am trying to get some pricing. Thanks

I have talked to a couple driving schools to find out if they still had simulators like they had when i was in high school years ago. They dont , so i figured she will just work from home and practice on doing some of my interior work and do alteration work. The next driving lesson she will get will be sometime in april or may when the grass need cutting. Whats the difference ...car or cub cadet? IM sure ill have to run along side of the cub cadet when she cuts close to the neighbors property. I paid 800 for the juki , alot less than a car for her and the raise in our insurance premiums. Oh and piece of mind patrick
