Will a 1941 1/2 T P/U Tailgate fit on a 1945 ford 1/2 t p/u

Hi all,
Well,I am moving rite along on my 1945 ford pickup.
The 1979 camaro stub is welded on the front and getting ready to paint the frame with some special frame paint.
My question is , will a 1941 1/2 ton p/u tailgate fit on a 1945 ford 1/2 ton p/u? I found a real nice one but not for sure it will work.
Thanks all,
Lee

Big Lee, long time no hear. I am not positive but I think the 46 will be wider and possibly higher. The 41 was still built on the 35-40 frame where as the 41 -48 autos frame was wider and longer. I think the Pickups increased in 42 and were the same thru at least 53.

Glad the 45 is moving along.
