will a 1969 ranchero fit in a 1965 ford falcon or will i need to modify

i have a 1965 ford falcon and i need to put a v8 rear end in it so i now this guy that has a 1969 ranchero and he is giving me the rear end and i dont know if it would work out or not

Rancheros are falcons arent they? like how elcaminos were (59-60) impala. and (64-whatever year they stopped) were chevelles....

I think the rearend should work....


Someone else around here will know for sure.

I think it will be too wide..the Ranchero was on the full size or intermediate chassis and the falcon was a compact..Might need to get a narrowed 9" for that app..Early Mustang should fit the falcon if I remember right..

I know bite the bullet..

I think the '69 Ranchero is based on the Torino frame and the Falcon is basically the same as the Comet. The Falcon will have a narrower rear than the Ranchero. Look at the Mustang / Falcon / Maverick rears for your application.
