Will a 700R4 shift into 4th without electricity?

I don't need or want the TCC working but I have this doubt about the 700R4 shifting into 4th gear without anything connected to the internals.

Is it necesary to have power connected to the transmission for it to shift from 3rd to 4th?

No. But the TV cable has to be set up correctly. There's online info for this that shows the angles, measurements, etc. for the various carbs' linkage.

you mean it does not need electricity to shift into 4th?

I have a summit racing TV bracket installed in the carb.
