Will a clutch fan cool my 400?

Im trying to get my car running as soon as possible. Im wondering if i run a clutch fan will that be enough for my motor?? Its a 400 sbc with aluminum heads.

That depends on a lot of things, but basic answer is yes.

Make sure the clutch is good, make sure you have the 7 blade fan and not the 5. A shroud is a MUST on any engine. Millions of small blocks out there running fine on a fan clutch.

+1, clutch fans work, some folks don't like the noise they make....a GOOD 180 thermostat, distilled water and not too much anti-freeze in the mix, make sure your timing is right and the alum. heads should help also. Hey Jmark...like your signature, no such thing as a fair fight!!
