Will a comp cam 26918-16 behive fit vortec?

Will a comp cam 26918-16 spings 612-16 795-16 fit a 350 vortec head?Says there listed a a big block spring but I,ve seen the 26918 part listed as working on a sbc not sure of the -16 or the other # are retainers and locks I think ,there diff I,m sure but if the spings work I can pick them up cheap

Yes, those springs will work on a unmodified vortec head. Used them myself. BEWARE OF: in my package was a 'note' from Comp saying they revised the spring rate to increase seat and nose pressure. I think the 'new' rates were 137 closed and 375 open, a pretty big increase over the previous spec. Now I don't know if they put them in the wrong box or what but I would call comp and make sure of the spring specs to make sure they'll work with your cam of choice.

These springs are pretty universal, they work on LS1's, the new Hemi, SBC's, etc...

Re; revis rate

I,m using a stock GM Iron Vortec head on a goowrench with a comp cam xe268H I,m buying them from a privite party if there was a note in the box it might have been lost box is open .Do you think the will work with that cam .?I,m not sure what those press.specs will effect ?

i was reading about choosing the right springs for vortec's and they recommend 26918 however they say that vortec heads will need springs that have a I.D. larger than 0.900 however in the specs of the 26918 springs the I.D. is 0.885 so will it still work???

I am using the 26918 springs on my Vortec heads now, to accommodate the lift of the LT4 hotcam & 1.6 RR
