Will my combo run on 89 octane with no problems?

Will this run on 89 octane with no problems? 10.5 to 1 comp aluminum heads 64cc comb chambers and flat tops. .480 lift 230 @ .050.2900lb car. Runs fine on 92 octane but thats getting very expensive!

I would try it. The 10.5 :1 doesn't help but the aluminium heads and the somewhat lighter weight of the car will help. You may need to fine tune the timing. Run the tank low, then put a few gallons in. If it knocks too easy top off with a higher octane.

Not run fine

If your just cruising around the 89 is fine. If you decide to get squirrely you want to have the 92 in there.
