will pertronix fire stock hei ignition?

I'm swapping a GM HEI system onto my Ford 302. Will the pertronix ignitor work with the HEI module and the rest of the GM system? My plan B is to use the HEI system with a Ford duraspark reluctor distributor to fire the ignition.

I have the wiring worked out but I need the right signal for the plus pickup coil and the minus pickup coil on the Ignition module. Any help much appreciated.

Go back in this section about 18 pages to an post entitled Mini Stock 2.3 dated 2-22-03 and see if that helps. I did some looking into this and I feel it would be feasible to do this, although I havent tested my theory yet. Joe Dirt, the author of that thread, said the guys in South Texas are using GM modules on Ford pick up coils on the dirt track cars. I dont see why you couldnt use GM, Mopar, or Ford pick up coils on other electronic ign setups. Again, I havent tried it, but all the module needs is the pulse signal from the distributor pick up coil to get the module to send a signal to the coil to fire it. One of these days i'm gonna pick up different dist, module and coils at the junk yard and try this out.
There are some wiring diagrams in that thread that might be helpfull also.
