Will this rear fit?

The 12 bolt that I have aquired that I was told came from a 70 El camino turned out to be something different.
After spending a few days stripping it, I found the code on the passenger axle tube when I ran the code i discovered that it came out of a 1970 Pontiac GTO/Grand Prix...
I have no idea about dimmensions of this thing but what I want to know is will it fit into a 71 Chevelle, and will there be any sort of parts interferance.

It SHOULD fit with all factory parts. These cars used basically the same frame/chassis from 68-72. 10-12 bolts of various design were all used.

for some reason this comes to my mind...

Look at the U - joints on the yoke of the differential.

Some where in there ( years?) some GM products used inner U-joint retainer clips on the yokes / drive shafts , some used the outter style clips
