Will a short waterpump work on a TPI350

Heres the deal, My uncle has a 34 ford pickup and a 89 iron headed tuned port 350 engine that he wants to put in the truck. He would like to run a short waterpump to conserve space. My other uncle says it won't work because the crankshaft is longer! I really think there's some brotherly love happening here but I thought I'd ask you guys.

should work fine as long as you get pulleys for a short pump engine.
I am running a corvette(intermediate) pump on my 73 400 truck motor. Using pulleys for a vette.

The serpentine set-up will have to go, you'll need all the pulleys and brackets from a SWP set-up, or aftermarket, I believe.

No diff in the crank lengths, but the damper/crank pulleys are different.

THIS thread might give you some ideas on using different pulleys.
