Will a Straight six bolt up to C-6 Transmission
I bought 1966 F100 Truck, it has 9 bolt rear end, C-6 Transmission, and a 352 V-8.
Question: I have a rolling chassis (1980 F150 short bed Explorer with a straight six installed). Plan is to elongate the frame, will the C-6 bolt up to the straight six engine. Big question is will the cab have to be moved ( back or forth ) or will I have to cut the tips of the frame off the front? |

Will a straight six bolt mup to a C-6 transmaiion?
Look back to the Ford inline 250 and 300 six. They were both offered originally with an optional C-6 on special order. I'm sure their may be a special bell housing but his combination isn't anything out the ordinary. Call a local Ford specialty shop and ask them. If you don't have one call Speedway in Indianapolis, IN.

You sure its a C6 and not an FMX? A windsor bolt pattern bell from a C 6 will fit the 300.The FE pattern was different.
