Will a Tilt Column from 70-81 Camaro fit 69 Camaro?
 

:confused: Does anybody know for sure if a 70-81Camaro tilt column fit a 70 Nova or a 69 Camaro? I was told that it would but wanted a second opinion before I bought it. ...Thanks

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. The later Camaro is a front-steer car, and the steering box is much farther from the driver than with a '69.

I don't know if it will fit but I've been thinking about this for a while. There was someone who posted, in a project journal, about cutting a steering column to fit in their car. Basically what they did was cut the end off of a longer column then reinstall the end bearing. Sounds like it would be pretty easy to do.
