I've got a project idea that will probably make most if not all true hot rod deres hate me. I plan on using a ragged 2door 1972 comet and mounting it on a short bronco 4x4 frame, then dropping a 351 in it. How would I go about installing the frame and will I have to modify it extremely?
A 72 Comet is a unibody car.......You will have to take out all the suspension etc and drop it on top of the Bronco frame. Are the wheel bases of both the same or very close? I have seen a number of car onto truck type swaps......usually, they end up sitting in the persons yard never finished......
The wheel base on the bronco is 104.7" & the maverick/comet is 103" so would I have to chop the frame and fab a driveshaft?
