You know, now that you mention it, I don't think my hook/bobbin mechanism still spins when the clutch is tripped either. Not sure what made me think it did.
I've had to reset my safety clutch a few times when I first started using this machine. In fact, I think that early on I made most of the mistakes that possibly be made on my machine, so now they're few and far between. I've even bumped the SewQuiet 5000 speed up past "5".
