willys pickup tranny swap

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have a restored willys pickup with a 350 sbc with a 4 speed chevy truck tranny. Want to swap to a 305 sbc with a 700r4 with probably the 208 case with the right hand drop. My question is, I have found a MINT 305 out of a s-10 with a 2x4 700r4. Extremely low miles, etc. Can the 2x4 700r4 be converted to adapt the 4x4 case. What all is involved here. I know an adapter from Advanced adapters for sure and ofcourse the 4x4 case. The 4 speed currenty has the d-20 case adapted to it. Thanks all Gary

interesting copy n paste you did there.

the 700 / 4L60 trans out put shaft can be swapped from a 2x shaft to a 4x4 shaft. Dirt simple deal for someone with knowledge of this transmittin series

Make sure the t-case is correct for the 700 / 4L60 trans

transfer case

What case would be correct Most of the mid chevy trucks had the 208 I need the 208 that comes out passenger side. What all will I need other than the 4x4 output shaft If I were getting the 4x4 700r4 with the 208 case I wouldn't need anything right ?? This tranny is 2x4 with extremely low miles and the 305 with it is MINT I can find a 208 correct side case pretty easy Thanks for your help !!!!! Your the man !!!!
