A ParaGraver in the hands of a skilled artist gives a lot more definitation in the art work. acid etching is all flat. My Nephew is a jewler and does a lot of engraving, guns, glass goblets for weddings, for stained glass work. he hasn't got into doing cars. I sent him some picts a few years ago of a car I saw in Calif at a goodguys show that had a lot of engraving , valve covers, rear end cover, instrument cluster panel, door panel inserts.
