window channel
thanks in advance, this place is great.i just ordered window channel kits for my 33 ford truck from vintage ford and was wondering if any one had any tips on installing them? the windshield was installed by a shop in durham and the rear oval window is in good shape but i think i can do the door glass myself,if i can get the channel right, also would you go with tinted glass or not?

I just put rower window risers in the rear panels I built for my king cab '53 Chevy pickup. I made a Masonite window pattern and used it in the opening to position my guides in the proper position. Once I was happy that they were square with the opening and the window would slide up and down OK, I made some sheet metal "L" shaped brackets that I welded onto the channels and screwed to the body with sheet metal screws. Takes about 6 hands and eyeballs that can see around corners but with a little patience it can be done.
