Window replacement

I hope this is in the correct forum. I am replacing the standard window and vent window assembly in a 79 F100 with one piece of glass. New glass will be slightly curved. I wish to install power window kit as well. What is recommended - I did not plan to reuse the old regulator and/or did not know if it would work since I was putting in a different size glass. Any help please

Thanks

Check the gear pitch on the existing regulator. It is likely that Ford power window motors form 70s and 80s cars will mesh with it, thus all you need to do is cut off the riser handle/drive gear, weld on a bracket for the electric motor and screw the thing in the stock location. Dirt cheap, guaranteed to operate as well as the original, and easy to do. I did that on the window risers of my '53 Chevy pickup. MUCH easier and MUCH cheaper than the afer market electric kits and MUCH stronger installation to boot.
