window scratch removal???

anyone know a way to remove scratches from windows. Both the drivers and passanger door windows have scratches from the window scrapers which have developed over the years on my 66 and I was wondering if there is some compound I could use to buff them out. Thanks in advance for you help. Ken

The rule of thumb (no pun intended) is that if you run your fingernail over the scratch and it catches the nail, it's too deep to polish out.

Yes, I understand deep scratches can't be removed. My question is what will remove the not too deep ones.
