can someone help me find a place to purchase window tint. ill tint the windows myself, but cant seem to find any 'good' tint. the parts stores all sell crap. i think madico or madco is a pretty good brand but dont know where to get it. if anyone knows or knows of another good quality brand of tint, please let me know. thanks.

Internet search engines are a remarkable thing. Here you go.

Also try WalMart in the automotive or any aftermarket truck and accessory supplier.

Make sure you check with your state laws in tinting. There are certain percentages for front and back windows. You want to look good without getting hounded by the police:sweat:

Gila is pretty good and can be found in some parts stores. Just keep everything super clean when tinting. I always manage to get some spec of dust, a cat hair, or something under mine-- at least one under every damned window! It's a real easy job if you take the windows out first. I took all the glass out of my car when I painted it, replaced all the seals ($365, but $130 was for the station wagon side glass -- rest was for sweeps and channel for all the others, the seals around the tailgate window weren't cheap either!).

One question -- you really have a 61 Studebaker Wagonaire? If so, any problems with the roof leaking? For those who don't know, the wagon roof (rear) slides forward between front roof and head liner, leaving the back open sort of like a truck except you still have the side glass.

Hey post a pic of your Brookwood. I've got a '61 Parkwood w/o engine or transmission. I plan to install 350 engine and 700r4 trans but it'll be a while. I've got a '58 Yeoman wagon as my daily driver, '70 Chevelle wagon as my wife's daily driver and '56 Nomad for our cruise nights. I'm off to Modesto's American Graffiti weekend in about an hour. TV news said about 500 cars are registered.

I hear gila makes the best tints. I think it comes with a warranty to. I saw it at autozone.
