Yes for looks. Not sure it helps the heat much. Hard to see out at night with even 35%.
Federal law says maximum 35% for any vehicle 94 or newer. None on windshields except a 6 inch band at the top.
Lots of illegal vehicles in Arkansas. Cops allowed to stop you randomly for tint check. Usually a "fix it" ticket, and present the vehicle for police inspection. Give them bs, and they'll have your car towed.
only slightly off topic:
Lots of illegal vehicles with illegal covert "police" stickers on the vehicles. In AR they use a small 1 1/2 by 3 inch striped sticker that is black, blue, black to indicate ARMED POLICE OFFICER on board...... Lots of teenagers and 75 yr old people with these stickers that their sons, grandsons, uncles, fathers, etc have put on their cars so other cops won't give them tickets..... total BS.... and illegal but done everyday. Talked to an 83 yr old man yesterday who's son is a deputy sheriff that put it on his dad's mini van.
If you drive a vehicle with a sticker and illegal tint on the windshield the cops will not stop you.
You know, any ticket to a stickered car will be expunged before court... It's termed "The BLUE code". (The boys in blue stick together)
I have been compiling a list of suspicious vehicles to turn into the state police.
