Windshield Wiper on '31 Roadster

I'm about to make up the windshield for my Brookville '31 Model A roadster and NEED an electric windshield wiper here in the Great Northeast. As I will have a top I can't use the windshield frame top bracket that sells aftermarket by lots of folks. The Model A websites are tough to navigate and after hours of looking still have no idea as to how the motor is mounted. I do have a very small (read expensive) Mighty Wiper unit and am about to drill a 3/8-7/16 hole thru the new windshield frame but am still reluctant at this point. If that is the correct way to do it, I'll get out my drills and full speed head. Are there dimensions as to where the motor goes or is it potluck?.....Thanks

I have a small electric wiper on my 32 Ford roadster.....

If you look closely......you will notice the shaft goes thru the windshield frame...Mine is almost directly in front of the driver.....so as to clean the windshield so I can see.....place the sweep where it will do the most good.

Same 32......just 30 years ago... ....and you do not notice the wiper...with the top on....

With the top off......it disappears at 15 feet or so......

Miper Wiper makes a good wiper......kind of high priced.... but it is good quality.

Thanks Deuce

Duece - Thanks for the reply.
Reeeaaal nice car - love '32s.

Yep, know why am I not building a '32 instead of a '31? Long story, but begins with a '31 slant windshield fordoor sedan that was worse than a long tunnel with no light at the end and a new, completed TCI chrome and stainless chassis.

Got my drill press warmed up for a new hole in the w/s frame

(Bet you wouldn't have spoke wheels again !! They look great but from personal experience take too many hours of maintenance when there are more fun things to do )
