windshield wiper motor problems

ok i have a 1982 el camino & my wipers don't work. all of my wires are connected when i turn the switch all i hear is a click could it be that my wiper motor has gone bad

ground it

See attached schematic for GM wiper control.
Control connections are made on the ground side so make sure the wiper motor and switch are installed and grounded.

bench test

If you want to bench test the motor and switch before installation just connect them together with a ground jumper wire.
