Guys

I can't believe how fast spring and summer flew buy and now we have almost a month of fall has gone buy. The weather is turning off cold here in Indiana in the morning and it's time to start the winter projects on my ride's . I plan on pulling the motor and trans out of the 57 Old's and rebuilding . Just have to do a few minor things on the 40 Ford . How about the rest of you what are you guy's winter projects on your rides going to be . Take the time and let us know. This is what my place ooked like last night at about 6pm.

We had snow squalls all day long and the drive home from Troy was interesting. This is the earliest recorded snowfall in Genesee County. FINALLY! The grass will stop growing.
My project is to get the front a nd rear suspensions built for my Bad Ast Project. I hope to have it down and rolling this spring.

Hi all,

Going to complete the welding on the headers I fab up. That will just about complete mock up on my car. Then I will have to take it all apart and its off to get it blasted. And then body repairs and paint. If I can find someone to paint and do a good job without having to give up the farm. And then final build will begin.

I know you guys are going to hate me,
But Its now in the mid 80's 60's at night. I wear shorts most of the year. I did the freezing your butt off stuff in Colorado. Anyway we spent the summer in side the garage with the 108 degree out side doing body work on my sons truck. Now that its nice out I'm doing a little work on my truck that I pick up beginning of summer. Not much to do to it. Was a real clean service truck that I'm putting the bed back on and do some custom stuff to later. Right now I'm steam cleaning the carpets and the bench seat. They look almost new now, it was about ten buckets, grease water and mud I pull our of the carpet. Next the 350 was over heated that why the guy sold it on EBay. Would turn over but could not start it. I found when I put water in the radiator it went right in to the oil pan. I'm hopping its only the head gasket they blew out but you never know tell you get in there to see how bad it was over heated. I could drop in the 454 and Th400 I have setting out back in my other project 1 Ton truck I just can't see that as a option and getting 8mpg for my daily driver. but it sure sound like a good Idea to my son

SO for me I hope to get done before June or its back in side to hide from the heat.

Craig

Finish by April

The weather here is about average so I hope to complete a self imposed deadline and have my car finished and driving by 1 April. I will tear everything apart by Thanksgiving and and start the build up process. I just know there will be 10,000 things that I need to do that I didn't plan on so wish me luck.

My plans at the present time is to get back to working on the 57 Metro,, its been setting in the back corner for a year now while I finished up a 36 chev,, but I finally got it up on a table last saturday so I can get the front end finished up,, I plan on making the F/E a one piece, with a separate hood,, then build a new roll cage and get it installed before attaching the top completely, its good to work on something different for a change,, Bill
